Steam Cleaning (Hot water extraction)
Maids Yes uses Carpet steam cleaning method, also known as hot water extraction. It is the preferred carpet cleaning method recommended by most carpet manufacturers.
The maintenance brochure published by the world's largest carpet manufacturer, Shaw Industries, recommends this method, because its own research indicates that it provides the best capability for cleaning, signifying the highest level of dirt removal from carpets.
This method is frequently called "steam" cleaning due to the fine spray of water used to force dirt out of the carpet which is sucked up by the vacuum slot immediately in front of the spray. Seldom is real live steam used, however. This process consists of spraying a solution of water and detergent into the carpet pile and recovering the water and soil with a powerful vacuum into a holding tank.
Rotary Machine method (Bonnet)
Bonnet cleaning employs an absorbent pad ('bonnet') attached to the bottom of a rotary machine. Detergent solution is sprayed onto the carpet ad the rotary pad is used to agitate and remove the soil suspended in the solution from the carpet. Once one side of the pad gets soiled, the sides can be reversed. And when both sides get soiled, the pad can be replaced and later cleaned.
This method is used in the regular maintenance of commercial buildings.
